Blood Lead Challenge
Take the blood lead discovery
and reporting challenge.
Research demonstrates the
connection between the level of lead in our blood and increased risk of:
dementia, osteoporosis, brain ageing, early death and learning
difficulties in children.
Do you have regular blood tests?
Have you had your blood lead levels checked in the past?
It costs nothing and your blood
sample can be simultaneously tested for other heavy metals. All you need
is a referral from your GP to your local pathology lab. If you already
have regular blood tests, ask your doctor to add lead levels to the
tests they usually request.
High blood lead levels, once
detected, are amenable to simple treatments.
We want YOU to know your blood
lead level, and we want you to tell US.
Be part of our survey and
receive results-based personalised advice, and peace of mind in knowing
what your lead level is.
Help us build a strong data set.
Lead-safety Message: "If you must remain living where lead dust falls from the sky all day,
regular wet-cleaning is a vital part of keeping a child lead-safe".
