QUESTION: Information about the effects of burning candles while working out, 29 Mar 2006, California USA

I asked a question about candles and your website was brought up. I hope you can help or direct me.
I would like to know if there is any information about the effects of burning candles in a gym while members are working out. If I could get something to show the owner, maybe she would stop burning them. She does not seem to understand that it affects my breathing. She'll go for quite some time without burning one, then she does it again. I was hoping to find an article or report to give her.
Thank you,

Dear Elizabeth,
Thank you so much for such a speedy reply! I don't think I've ever had such a quick response from someone I've contacted on the internet. KUDOS!!
I hope the owner of the gym will take it into consideration. It's been very frustrating. I'm so sensitive to most fragrances, but the candles seem to go straight to my lungs.
With great appreciation,

Dear Madam,
I know exactly how you feel about things affecting your breathing. I have trouble breathing near anything with fumes and more so if I'm exercising.
I've never understood joggers who run along main roads! I hope the attachment will help to explain the fact that you are respiratorially challenged by candle burning and in case it is "aromatherapy" or perfumed candles that are being burnt, you should find some good information about the hazards of breathing perfumes on the following websites: Global Recognition Campaign for Multiple Chemical Sensitivity/chemical injury and other chemically induced illnesses & diseases www.mcs-global.org Fragranced Products Information Network (FPIN) - Virginia www.ameliaww.com/fpin/fpin.htm; www.fpinva.org
Best of luck
Yours Sincerely
Elizabeth O'Brien
