LEAD Group Inc. campaigns for the removal of lead from petrol and
other products and conducts an advice and information service about
lead, the name of which is global
lead advice & support service
This was previously known as the Lead Advisory Service Australia (LASA). |
The LEAD Group would like to acknowledge the financial support of the Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts (DEWHA) in helping to make its services possible. DEWHA has provided funding for 12 months ending 30th June
2010.

Achieve Lead Safe Communities and Ensure the Sustainable Future of Our
Planet.
The LEAD Group makes an urgent appeal to
you for donations to raise funds for actions to follow-up on the 7th
Global Partnership Meeting of the Partnership for Clean Fuels and Vehicles
(PCFV) held in Hungary 28-29 April 2009, and finally achieve the global
elimination of leaded petrol for road-use vehicles.
The Global Lead Advice and Support Service
(GLASS) is operating on a Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage
and the Arts (DEWHA), Australian federal government Grant but this expires
as of 30 June 2010. We are currently applying for more funding from DEWHA
so we can employ more than one staff member and be more proactive in
informing the world about how to manage lead. Sometimes, grant funds are
not provided for some months after the start of the financial year.
We need your support in spreading the word
about lead and it's extremely common health effects (heart attack, stroke,
reduced IQ, memory loss, hearing loss, balance problems, infertility,
osteoporosis, Alzheimer's, ADD/ADHD, etc) so please ask any relevant
webmaster to create a link from their site to ours. Everyone knows someone
with one of those health effects but how many people know that lead is the
cause?

Assessment Act 1997.
The Lead Education and Abatement Fund (L.E.A.F) is
a public fund listed on the Register
of Environmental Organisations under Item
6.1.1 of subsection 30-55(1) of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 and
is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient under subdivision 30-BA of
the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
