The LEAD Group's website is now archived at
The LEAD Group is always vigilant to ensure that no leaded petrol in the world contains Australian lead. If Australian lead ends up in leaded petrol or in paint, especially house paint, it tarnishes the green credentials of the Australian mining industry.
Lead damages the brain, reduces longevity and increases crime. Leaded petrol has caused more lead exposure for humans than any other use of lead. Leaded petrol is well past its ‘use by date’ but companies that still profit from its production are not volunteering to end the deadly leaded petrol era and put people before profits.
The LEAD Group aims to achieve the end of leaded petrol as soon as possible.Nomination of Innospec for the 2013 Public Eye Awards, seven letters of support for it, and a positive appraisal of the nomination, in LEAD Action News vol 14 no 1 - Lead Safe World Project Launch: Inaugural International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week of Action 20-26 October 2013
Please donate now. Your assistance could create a cleaner fuelled world by helping in the final push for an end to leaded gasoline.
Any money raised through this appeal will be directly used for wages, web-publication on the issue, travel and other expenses of meetings associated with coming to agreement with industry in the shortest timeframe possible.

under subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
The LEAD Group Inc. currently receives no financial support from the Australian federal Department of the Environment, previously known as the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities (DSEWPaC).
DSEWPaC provided funding for 6 years ending 30th June 2013. The fate of our Global Lead Advice and Support Service (GLASS) is uncertain, so we have launched a new Lead Safe World Project including a website at www.leadsafeworld.com and we are looking for companies and other organisations to become Lead Safe World Partners and contribute to building up solutions to lead problems on the new site, but also to resourcing GLASS – for the good of all.
