QUESTION: Do you know of anyone in the US who is capable of providing a tooth lead test? 16/09/09 Kentucky, USA - United States of America

I would like to know if there is any updated information on testing my children's teeth for lead. Your information regarding the testing was dated 2005. Is there anything more current and/or available to the public. Do you know of anyone in the US who is capable of providing such a test? I am convinced my children (especially my son) was poisoned during a remodel 5 years ago. Of coarse, lead is no longer present in his body. He had several issues that we struggle with and I am desperate for some answers and resolution. Any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Anne,

here's the information I've gathered about tooth lead testing in the USA:If baby teeth have fallen out and are available, these can be sent to the NMS - National Medical Services, Inc. (phone 2156574900 or free call USA 800-522-6671). NMS offers tooth lead testing as a "special Request" test. They do not however work with private individuals. A person would need to either go through a Dr., Lawyer or another lab in order for NMS to do the testing. Contact NMS at www.nmslab.com; 2300 Stratford Avenue Willow Grove PA 19090-4195.
