QUESTION: Neighbours renovating don't have the right to contaminate your property with lead, 06 Oct 2006, Queensland Australia
My neighbours are about to start sanding the outside of their house which is lead paint. What precautions do they need to take? Do they legally have to take them? |

ANSWER: 06 Oct 2006 Dear Cass, I'm sorry I only just saw your email now that I must finish work and get some sleep before our big weekend handing out lead info at our stall at the Women's Health Expo in Sydney. The best I can do, just in case the neighbour's paint removal work starts tomorrow is to attach our DRAFT fact sheet called: "Your neighbours are about to renovate or are renovating their house; You are worried about the contamination of your home - What can you do?" I hope this helps. Yours Sincerely Elizabeth O'Brien See: Lead and Your Health, Lead in House Paint and The Six Step Guide To Painting Your Home |
