QUESTION: If you must burn candles, burn beeswax, 03 Jun 2006, Florida USA

Hello,
I read your article on candles and their ill health effects. Banned: Leaded Wick Candles

Now that I know why candles are wrong can you steer me toward the best choice? Bees Wax is where I am leaning.

Regards,
Sam

ANSWER: 05 Jun 2006

Dear Sam,

Yes, I have concluded that if you must burn candles, burn beeswax ones. But reducing candle use is best, as with reducing energy use.

Yours Sincerely
Elizabeth O'Brien
