QUESTION:
Lead research thru UTS/Factiva - Indian battery recycling, 21 Mar 2005, Texas
USA I read the information on export of lead and of exposure to lead batteries among people and children in India. However, I also see that the website has not been updated in 3 years. Is this still a problem and if it is, how much of a problem (i.e. has any progress been made)? |

You may also want to contact two very good people who are working on the issue, for further information: Dr Thuppil Venkatesh, Director, National Referral Centre for Lead Poisoning in India (NRCLPI) & Department of Biochemistry & Biophysics, St. Johns National Academy of Health Sciences, Bangalore 560034 India, Email: venky_tv(AT)hotmail(DOT)com; nrclpi(AT)leadpoison(DOT)net, and Dr Perry Gottesfeld, Occupational Knowledge International, 220 Montgomery Street, Suite 1027, San Francisco 94104 USA, Email: OKINCPG(AT)aol(DOT)com, PH: 4153629898.
