ANSWER: 03 Jan 2005 Dear Suresh, Thanks for the information on innovative specialty chemicals for lead acid batteries. We are an information and referral service aimed at the elimination of lead poisoning and protection of the environment from lead pollution so if you could provide me with information on your estimate on any improvements to the length of life of a lead acid battery due to your products, then your company could go into our database as reducing the need to replace batteries so frequently. You may know that some 70% of the world's lead production goes into lead acid batteries so any decrease in demand for batteries brought about by your products would necessarily mean a reduced demand for lead and therefore a reduction in the number of people and other organisms lead poisoned and the extent of natural resources depletion and environmental degradation during the mining and smelting of the lead and the manufacture and recycling or dumping of the batteries. I look forward to your reply. Yours Sincerely Elizabeth O'Brien |
