QUESTION: Leadlight window danger to 12 month old son,
22 Aug 2003, Texas USA I have lead windows on either side of my front door. My home was built in the late 1970's. Should I be concerned about these windows and the dangers they might pose to my 12 month old son. He comes in contact with these windows every day. I can provide a detailed picture if this would help. Thank you, |

| ANSWER: 22 Aug 2003 Dear Madam, One of the lead assessors in Sydney tested the dust on the window sill of leadlight windows in a childcare centre and determined that the dust was hazardous, as was direct contact with the lead calmes in the windows. The lead assessor recommended that a second layer of clear glass be placed inside the leadlight windows to stop all possible exposure to this lead dust. I hope this helps. Yours sincerely Elizabeth O'Brien |
