To whom it may concern,

I am a journalism student at the University of Canberra hoping to find information on the LEAD Group's involvement/exclusion from the clean up of the Pasminco site at Cockle Creek. I understand they (Pasminco) have put a remediation plan into place but are yet to appoint a contractor for this. I also understand the LEAD Group has undertaken extensive studies into the environmental impact of the smelter. It would be helpful to obtain a statement from your organisation for the purposes of my university studies. Email contact is preferable.

Could you please give references to support the contention that The LEAD Group has "undertaken extensive studies into the environmental impact of the [Pasminco Cockle Creek] smelter".

The hurdle you are facing is that I have nothing to confirm that you are what you say you are and in this business, there's a risk involved in making statements to strangers.
