Aims to eliminate lead poisoning, protect the environment from lead
and to strengthen networks of stakeholders to solve lead problems

MEDIA RELEASE 20 October 1998

Today, about 220 babies will be born in New South Wales.

Between 16 and 55 will be lead poisoned by the time they are four years old.

You can help them, just by giving the issue some air time.

Parents need to be aware of the issue so that they can minimise the risks.

Many of these children will be poisoned by their parent renovating unsafely.

Today is Lead Poisoning Awareness Day.

Lead Poisoning Awareness Week runs until
Saturday, 24th October.

How about giving us the chance to get the word out and prevent these babies from being robbed of their full potential through lead poisoning.
