Editorial

by Adrian Hill

This LEAD Action News is something of an exposé (well if Women’s Weekly can do it, so can we) in that it exposes 5 relatively new sources of lead poisoning. The Miniblinds story is updated and exposes PVC as being a ne’er do well; there’s a scandalous story about some toy soldiers containing over 90% lead; a shocking story about leaded paint on playground equipment in the US; a horror story of a woman finding lead in a porcelain bathtub after having spent $15,000 on lead abatement services; and finally a beastly story about lead poisoning and pets.

As a cat-lover I will be desperately looking for ways to disprove that one.

There’s also all the hot gossip about how the launch of our new project went, with none other than The Hon. Pam Allan, M.P., in attendance.

We tried to outdo Women’s Weekly and get you some recipe ideas, but none involve lead. Bon appetit.
