| The organisation received 3,968 calls in total in this report year. 1,786
(45%) were from outside NSW including 671 (17%) calls made from overseas. Please see also
the graphic in Appendix 2 that shows all calls from Interstate. Tables 1 and 2 show the
number of callers in the respective report period (the first and last years of our 10 year
period of government funding) by state. This FY there had been 3,968 callers in
total. From which 55% were from NSW compared to the year 1995/96 where 76%
of all callers came from NSW. In 1995/96 there were only 0.5% overseas callers compared to
17% of callers from overseas in this year. This comparison clearly states
that the importance of our Lead Advice and Support Service deserves the term Global as we
call it officially GLASS since the International lead poisoning day that took
place in October 2004.
